I Want Your Life is my exploration of the philosophy of grass being greener on the other side. The most part of the story unfurls as it happens to the protagonist Sharon, who is a young woman from the Christian community in Kerala. Sharon has trouble acknowledging her sexuality, and how she and the people around her reacts to it forms the crux.

Sharon encounters Rufzal, who runs a seaside eatery. Rufzal has lived a tough life and believes Sharon has her life sorted out. Meanwhile, Sharon, who had grown up with little control over her own life decisions, is amused by the seemingly dynamic life that Rufzal leads.

Rufzal has spent his whole life by the sea and believes that the sea holds many secrets unknown to others. Sharon’s and Rufzal’s fascination with each other’s lives drives them to find out if an age-old folktale of the coastal community is indeed true. They set out to test the theory, and that changes their lives irrevocably.

I Want Your Life is about finding one’s truth and being at peace with it.
